PAMPAM
0-3 years
Female
Pampam has been through hell in the first month of her life. She was separated from her Mother and dumped in a roadside shelter all alone. No food or water in sight. To add to her terror she was mauled by a dog leaving several deep wounds.
She was in a bad way. Pampam needed 2 injections for pain and infection and 3 stitches for the deep dog bites she'd suffered. Our vet also tested her for Parvo and thankfully her test was negative.
I shudder to think how long Pampam had been without food and water. She was extremely dehydrated and drank lots of water but refused to eat. We knew the next 24 hours were very critical. Pampam was traumatised by a high temperature and hyperventilating. Several times I thought we were going to lose this tiny puppy. Happily Pampam fought for her life and is now beginning to recover.
Nearly 2 years and Pampam has experienced significant growth, though she remains shy around new people. Her affection particularly shines with our two paraplegic darlings, Myla and Malee, around whom she joyfully zips.
In essence, Pampam is a bundle of energy, constantly on the move and curious about everything from stones and leaves to the items in my bag. She has blossomed into a strikingly pretty dog with a face that could grace a box of chocolates! Unfortunately, deep bites from another dog when she was just a puppy have left her with a weaker, slightly underdeveloped left thigh. While the muscle damage in her leg causes a mild limp, it's barely noticeable since she’s usually darting around at full speed.
Thank you for caring.
